ELITE TEAM PROGRAM
(Black Belt Club Members ONLY!)

Leadership Team

Dr. Kim’s Leadership Team is advanced training for selected black belt students who will become the future leaders in our society. Those students also have an opportunity to become our instructors and the full and part time staff of our organization.

Grandmaster Kim continues to teach all of his students and conducts instructor training for our staff on a daily basis and oversees the student belt testing process for both color and black belt exams. He is also an official Taekwondo Master and Judge from Kukkiwon, which means that Grandmaster Kim is qualified to test students for their black belts and can recommend dan (black belt) applications to Kukkiwon.

Demo Team

Dr. Kim’s Demo Team is advanced training for selected students who enjoy performing martial arts in the public.  Our demo team students learn Taekwondo & K-pop dance, weapons, forms, self-defense, as well as advanced/speed breaking techniques.

Our demo team has participated in various charity events, including Dance Blue (one of the top 10 biggest charity events in the U.S.) hosted by the University of Kentucky.  Our demo team, Team Tiger, also demonstrated in New York Times Square to represent the people of Kentucky during the Taekwondo Festival in 2017.

Competition Team

Dr. Kim’s Elite Competition Team is advanced training for selected students who enjoy participating in martial arts tournaments.  Our elite competition team must keep good grades and good manners at home, school, and dojang.  Our team members have participated at local, state, national, and international levels. Some of them have become USAT state and national champions!

Teuk Gong Moo Sool
(Special Forces Martial Art) Team

Teuk Gong Moo Sool is the official martial art practiced by the South Korean Special Forces, which literally means “Special Forces Martial Art.” It incorporates the most effective features of eight different martial arts: Taekwondo, Hapkido, Judo, Kyuk Sool, Kumdo, Bong Sool, Boxing, and Kickboxing.

Grandmaster No Won Park wrote the Teuk Gong Moo Sool Textbook in 1980 when he was assigned as the martial arts instructor by the 5th Brigade of the Special Army. Grandmaster Park founded the International Teuk Gong Moo Sool Federation (ITF) in 1996.  Grandmaster Tiger Kim is an ITF 6th degree black belt in Teuk Gong Moo Sool.

At Dr. Kim’s World Taekwondo Academy, Grandmaster Kim teaches all black belt students the art of Teuk Gong Moo Sool to improve self-defense techniques as well as to master weapons training, including nun chucks, knife, sword, long stick, short stick, and double sticks.
